FAQS?
Often people make the remark that church goers are brainwashed often because they cannot see how someone can profess to have Christian beliefs and be rational or sensible. What is not seen is the work of God in that person's life to bring them to believe the way they do. In Jeremiah 31: 33-34 God reveals his plan to make a new covenant with his children. Particularly verse 34 says: "No longer will a man teach his neighbour or a man his brother saying, 'Know the Lord' because they will all know me from the least to the greatest...". The faith of Christianity is a deeply personal one. By the Holy Spirit, those who believe are able to come to know God for themselves. It is remarkable when individuals who walk in the relationship with God can come together, not know each other and yet affirm in each other the same God. God has placed faith in our heart to act on of our own free will, "pick up you cross and follow me" (Matthew 16:24) and "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13). The bible also encourages Christians to be accountable to one another. In fact Christians are encouraged to be pro-active in our relationship with God and not to blindly follow everything that may come from the pulpit, "Dear Friends, do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from God because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 Thessalonians 5: 1).
