GOD

The God of the Bible alone is God.

The Bible is the revealed Word of God and is not subject to change.

There is only one path that leads to God and that is through his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus to assist us in the knowledge of God, to give us wisdom and understanding in the Word, and to be a guide for our lives

MAN

We are to love our neighbours as we love ourselves. Far from being the person who lives next door to him, the Christian's neighbour is his fellow man. God's love transcends the boundaries of race, class and culture, so no one is beyond the reach of God's grace. We take seriously the commission to take "opportunity to do good to all men" and to bear one another's burdens.

MARRIAGE

We uphold the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman

THE FAMILY

The father is the head of the family with the mother and children in submission to him.

He is responsible for providing for the family and setting the pattern of behaviour and obedience for the children.

He is not "superior", neither is he a dictator. Rather, he is to have the same attitude towards his wife and children as Christ has for the church.

He is not to provoke or abuse his children, or to treat his wife as inferior to himself.

Children are to honour their parents.
