FAQS?

Seeking to prove the existence of God is as unnecessary as it is futile. It is unnecessary because God has not called us to prove His existence but to testify of the message of the gospel of salvation, and to baptise in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20). It is futile because “No one has seen God, at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has revealed him”. (John 1:18). And God has said “You cannot see my face: for no man shall see me and live”. Exodus 33:20. People invariably look for evidence that is supported by science, but the God of the Bible cannot be proved by mathematical formulae, the laws of physics, archaeology or by so-called religious icons.

Human beings do not naturally possess the knowledge of God. This knowledge must be revealed, believed by faith, and applied to our lives. The Bible in its entirety is the revealed word of God, and the gospels in particular instruct us how we can have a relationship with Him.

His word tells us who He is, what He has done, what He will do, and what He requires of us. A right relationship with God is the only way to “prove” His existence.  As it says “Those who come to God must believe that He is”, (Hebrews 11:6).

It goes without saying that if no one has seen God except Jesus, then we, and your unbelieving friends must be willing to accept that Jesus’ testimony about God is evidence of God’s existence.
