FAQS?

Sin acts as an instrument separating Man from God. Sin is evil and God cannot look upon evil or the one who imbibes this evil with approval. That is why Jesus willingly allowed himself to be put to death; he took our place of punishment and paid the price for our sin – so that we would not have to face this judgement. This selfless act of love liberated us from the slavery of sin we were under, and allowed us to be reconciled to God. All we have to do is accept what he has done on our behalf and appropriate our salvation through faith in Him. God hates sin and will undoubtedly punish it. (Romans  6:16)

According to the word of God, “All unrighteousness is sin” (1 John 5:17). God’s way is righteous. Sin therefore is anything that is contrary to that which God commands or forbids. Unlike the little 'white lie' which society considers only a minor misdemeanour less serious than other lies, or the white witch being less evil than her dark counterpart, there are no degrees of sin. Whatever the extent of sin, it is still a failure or unwillingness to obey God. It is a condition that automatically attracts judgement from God if it is not atoned for. The penalty for sin is death for the sinner.
